Role Overview
- The Senior Manager Client Account Data - Bengaluru is responsible for leading the day-to-day governance, integrity, control and lifecycle management of client account data across Markets platforms and processes. This includes oversight of counterparty, account, SSI and SDI set-ups across ANZ Markets systems (CSS, Murex, Core Static and related platforms).
- The role ensures that client and settlement data is accurate, complete and timely to support client onboarding, trade booking, confirmation, settlement and post-trade processes across the trade lifecycle.
- This role plays a critical part in maintaining operational control, improving data quality and straight-through processing, and reducing settlement and operational risk, while ensuring adherence to internal policies and data governance standards. The role works closely with Front Office, Operations, Technology, Risk, Compliance and Client Service teams to deliver consistent and reliable outcomes.
- As a functional lead in Bangalore, the role is responsible for managing team delivery, strengthening data quality disciplines, supporting process improvements and automation initiatives, and ensuring effective resolution of data issues and operational exceptions.
- Comfortable operating across time zones, with flexibility to support and balance business requirements spanning APAC, UK and US hours
What will your day look like
- Lead and continuously enhance governance and control frameworks for client account data (counterparty, account, SSI/SDI), ensuring alignment to enterprise standards and strengthening control effectiveness
- Own the control setting for client account data within the function,
ensuring strong alignment to non-financial risk frameworks and driving proactive identification, escalation and resolution of data issues and control gaps
- Provide oversight and direction on the lifecycle management of client, counterparty and settlement instruction data, ensuring consistency, scalability and alignment to business requirements
- Ensure a robust and scalable SSI/SDI data model across systems, driving consistency, enhanced controls and improved settlement outcomes
- Drive sustained improvement in data quality through strengthened control disciplines, standardisation and reduction in process inefficiencies and manual intervention
- Use performance metrics and insights (TAT, STP, error rates, exceptions) to drive decision-making, improve service performance and strengthen risk and control outcomes
- Partner with senior stakeholders across Markets, Operations, Technology, Risk and Compliance to align priorities, resolve systemic issues and support delivery of business and customer outcomes
- Lead and drive process improvement and automation initiatives within the function, enhancing scalability, efficiency and control effectiveness
- Lead a high-performing team, building capability, driving accountability and embedding a strong risk culture aligned to ANZ values and expectations
What will you bring To grow and be successful in this role, you will ideally bring the following:
- 15-16 years of experience in client static data, reference data, client account data or Markets / securities operations
- Strong knowledge of counterparty, account and settlement data set-ups, including SSI management and related controls
- Good understanding of the trade lifecycle and the role of static data in booking, settlement and reconciliations
- Experience in data quality management, reconciliations, exception handling and issue resolution
- Experience managing teams and delivering in a control-focused operational setting
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
- Analytical mindset with good problem-solving capability
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with operational systems and reporting tools
Good to have knowledge, skills, and experiences.
- Experience with SSI utilities or data vendors (e.g. DTCC ALERT or similar platforms)
- Exposure to automation, workflow improvements or system change initiatives
- Knowledge across asset classes such as FX, fixed income, derivatives and equities
- Familiarity with SQL or reporting tools
- Experience working in global teams across multiple regions/time zones
