Senior Lead – Application Developer & Project Manager (Industrial Robotics)

Summary

We are looking for a Senior Lead – Application Developer & Project Manager with 10–15 years of experience to lead the design, development, and delivery of industrial robotics solutions for machine tending, palletizing, pick and place, and welding applications. This role combines deep hands-on robotics expertise with end-to-end project ownership, technical leadership, and stakeholder management in manufacturing environments.

Key Responsibilities – Robotics Application Leadership

• Lead the design and development of industrial robotic applications for machine tending, palletizing, pick & place, and welding operations.

- Architect robust and scalable robot application logic, motion planning, and safety routines.
- Hands-on programming and optimization of industrial robots (ABB, FANUC, KUKA, YASKAWA, UR, etc.).
- Integrate robots with PLCs, HMIs, vision systems, EOAT, welders, sensors, and material handling systems.
- Oversee offline programming, simulation, and performance tuning.
- Lead system commissioning, validation, and production ramp-up at customer or factory sites.

Key Responsibilities – Project & Delivery Management

• Own end-to-end project delivery from requirements definition through commissioning and handover.
- Define project scope, schedules,



milestones, risks, and mitigation plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams including mechanical, electrical, controls, safety, and software engineers.
- Act as primary technical interface with customers and internal stakeholders.
- Manage change requests, cost, schedule, and quality commitments.
- Ensure compliance with industrial safety standards, quality processes, and documentation requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in industrial robotics application development.
- Robust hands-on experience with robot programming languages such as RAPID, KRL, TP, INFORM or UR Script.
- Proven experience delivering machine tending, palletizing, pick & place, and welding applications.
- Strong PLC integration experience (Siemens, Rockwell, Mitsubishi, etc.).
- Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (Profinet, Ethernet/IP, Modbus, DeviceNet).
- Demonstrated experience managing complex automation or robotics projects.

Preferred / Good to Have

• Experience with vision-guided robotics (2D/3D).
- PMP / Scrum certification.
- Experience in automotive, manufacturing, heavy engineering, or pharma automation.
- Willingness to travel for project deployment and commissioning activities.
