Role Description The Senior Internet of Things (IoT) Engineer will be responsible for end-to-end design, development, and deployment of IoT solutions using sensors, microcontrollers, and single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi and similar platforms. Day-to-day tasks include architecting system-level IoT solutions, writing and reviewing firmware and software, integrating hardware modules, and optimizing communication between devices, cloud platforms, and user interfaces. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to define requirements, building prototypes using components from the iBots.in product catalog, troubleshooting system performance issues, and ensuring robust, secure, and scalable IoT implementations.

The engineer will also mentor junior team members, document technical designs and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes. This is a full-time,



on-site role based in Coimbatore.

Qualifications

- Strong experience in Internet of Things (IoT) solution design and implementation, including device connectivity, data acquisition, and integration with cloud or edge platforms.
- Proficiency in Software Development and Programming (e.g., Python, C/C++, embedded programming) for microcontrollers and single-board computers.
- Hands-on experience with Raspberry Pi or similar development boards for building and deploying IoT prototypes and production-ready systems.
- Familiarity with Inductive Output Tube (IOT) concepts or related high-frequency electronic devices is beneficial for specialized applications.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Experience with sensors, communication protocols (e.g., MQTT, HTTP, TCP/IP, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi), and hardware interfacing in embedded systems.
- Knowledge of security best practices for IoT systems, including device authentication, encryption, and secure firmware updates.
- Ability to lead projects, mentor team members, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders in an on-site environment.
