Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Senior C++ Engineer to join the team building our next-generation embedded writer platform. The selected candidate will be responsible for porting core application logic from a legacy real-time embedded platform to a modern embedded Linux system, and for building the regression-testing infrastructure that proves the ported software behaves identically to the original. This role requires robust expertise in modern C++ development, cross-platform porting, protocol and file-format design, and test-harness engineering, applied to software that produces a legally significant data record and therefore cannot tolerate correctness regressions.

Key Responsibilities

Port core application and domain logic from a legacy RTOS-based C/C++ codebase to a Linux-based embedded platform, preserving exact functional behavior.




Design and build an automated regression harness that replays historical input data through both the legacy and ported implementations and verifies bit-exact output equivalence; integrate this harness into continuous integration so every change is verified automatically.
Reconcile divergent copies of shared logic that evolved independently on different platforms into a single, verified, canonical implementation.
Design and implement serialization and communication protocol logic (framing, checksums, versioning) ensuring wire-level compatibility with existing external client software.
Rework legacy file- and storage-management logic that is tightly coupled to a proprietary real-time operating system into a clean implementation on a standard Linux filesystem, while preserving on-disk data formats and data-safety guarantees (no data loss on crash or power loss).
Port cryptography and data-integrity logic, and extend it to support a tamper-evident, cryptographically signed data journal.
