Senior Civil Engineer – Site Execution

Job Purpose

We are looking for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to manage and supervise civil construction activities at the project site. The candidate will be responsible for end-to-end site execution, with strong hands-on experience in RCC and finishing works, contractor coordination, quality control, progress monitoring, and ensuring timely completion of assigned activities.

The ideal candidate should have substantial experience working with civil contractors/contractor organizations and should be capable of independently handling site execution and manpower/contractor coordination.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Execution

- Supervise and monitor day-to-day civil construction activities at the project site.

- Ensure execution of work as per approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, and project schedule.

- Handle and supervise RCC, structural and finishing works.

- Coordinate with site supervisors, contractors, subcontractors, consultants, and other project teams.

- Ensure proper sequencing of activities to avoid delays and rework.

2. RCC &
- Structural Works

- Supervise RCC-related activities including:

- Reinforcement work

- Shuttering/formwork

- Concrete pouring

- Slab, beam, column and staircase works

- Concrete quality and cube testing coordination

- Check reinforcement, shuttering and other works before concrete casting.

- Ensure execution is as per structural drawings and approved methodology.

- Coordinate with structural consultants in case of discrepancies or site-related issues.

Finishing

Works

- Supervise finishing activities such as:

- Brick/block work

- Internal and external plaster





- Flooring and tiling

- Waterproofing

- Painting

- Doors/windows and other finishing works

- Other civil finishing activities

- Ensure finishing work meets required quality and project specifications.

- Identify defects and ensure timely rectification.

4.

Contractor

Management

- Coordinate and manage civil contractors and subcontractors at site.

- Monitor contractor manpower, productivity and work progress.

- Allocate work fronts and ensure adequate manpower and resources.

- Verify work quantities and coordinate with the concerned team for measurements and billing.

- Follow up with contractors to ensure timely completion of activities.

Quality

Control

- Ensure construction work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.

- Conduct regular site inspections and identify quality issues.

- Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented.

- Minimize rework, material wastage and construction defects.

6. Planning &
- Progress Monitoring

- Monitor daily and weekly project progress against planned targets.

- Prepare/submit daily progress updates and highlight delays or critical issues.

- Coordinate with the planning/project team for activity schedules.

- Identify bottlenecks and take corrective action to maintain project timelines.

7. Drawing &
- Technical Coordination

- Read and interpret structural, architectural and civil drawings.

- Coordinate with architects, structural consultants and project managers for technical clarifications.





- Ensure the latest approved drawings are being followed at site.

- Raise and resolve site-related technical queries.

8. Material &
- Resource Coordination

- Coordinate with the store/procurement team regarding construction material requirements.

- Ensure availability of required materials before starting activities.

- Monitor material usage and minimize wastage.

- Ensure proper storage and handling of construction materials.

9. Safety &
- Compliance

- Ensure all site activities are carried out in accordance with safety requirements.

- Coordinate with the Safety team and ensure workers follow required safety practices.

- Immediately report unsafe conditions and site incidents to the concerned authority.

Mandatory Experience

- 10–11 years of total experience in civil construction/site execution.

- Candidates should have strong contractor-side working experience.

- Must have hands-on experience in RCC and finishing works.

- Experience in real estate/residential/commercial building projects will be preferred.

- Candidate should be comfortable working full-time at the Kalyan West project site.

Qualification

- B.E./B.Tech – Civil Engineering, OR

- Diploma in Civil Engineering
