Roles & responsibilities The Senior Associate 1 - Data & Analytics will be part of the GDC Canada Audit team, supporting data engineering, analytics, reporting, and automation initiatives within the Audit Data & Analytics domain. The role involves working with ERP and audit datasets, including General Ledger (GL), Trial Balance (TB), and Journal Entries (JE), to deliver audit analytics, risk assessment, and reporting solutions for Audit and internal teams.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SQL to ingest, transform, and process data from multiple sources.

Build and support Power BI dashboards, reports, datasets, semantic models, and DAX measures to enable business reporting and analytics.

Write and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, transformation, validation, and analysis.

Design and develop business applications using Microsoft Power Apps and workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate.

Perform audit analytics procedures using General Ledger (GL), Trial Balance (TB), Journal Entries (JE), and other ERP data to identify risks, anomalies, and actionable insights.

Assist in the development, testing, deployment, and support of data & analytics solutions in accordance with established development standards and best practices.

Perform data quality checks, troubleshooting, and issue resolution to ensure accuracy, reliability, and completeness of data and reporting solutions.

Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions.

Support data extraction, transformation, and analysis activities from ERP systems and other source applications.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date project status, ensuring timely communication of progress, risks, and dependencies.

Prepare and review engagement-related documentation and deliverables with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.





Support knowledge-sharing initiatives and provide guidance to junior team members on data processing and development best practices.

Demonstrate a continuous learning mindset by exploring and adopting emerging technologies, including Azure AI and Generative AI capabilities, where applicable.

Mandatory technical & functional skills:

Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and PySpark for building and supporting ETL/ELT solutions.

Strong proficiency in SQL and relational database technologies.

Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI, including data modeling, DAX, and Power Query.

Knowledge of Git, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD practices.

Experience developing applications using Microsoft Power Apps.

Experience designing workflow automation solutions using Microsoft Power Automate.

Valuable understanding of ETL/ELT concepts, data integration, and data quality practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.

Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and stakeholders.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver quality outcomes within defined timelines.

Qualifications

This role is for you if you have the below

Educational qualifications

B.E./B.Tech., MCA, or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.

Work experience

4-6 years of relevant work experience in Data Analysis/ Engineering
