Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering
Knowledge of electrical substation equipment
7+ years progressive experience in design and engineering with power distribution and/or high voltage substations.
Experience in Renewable (Wind, Solar & Energy Storage) will be considered as an asset.
Experience on various substation projects from 69kV up to 345kV and/or a robust understanding of electrical distribution systems. Extensive experience with electrical substation design.
Familiarity with NEC, NFPA, IBC, IEC, IEEE, ANSI standards.

Role Requirements
Preparation of the general arrangement and elevation view, erection key diagram, trench plan, lightning protection layout, earthing layout, illumination layout, single line diagram, three-line diagram, protection line diagram, control building layout.
Preparation of auxiliary load calculation, AC & DC cable sizing calculation and schedule, UPS, Battery and battery charger sizing calculation, Control cable schedule,



direct stroke lightning protection calculation, earthing calculation, short circuit force and cantilever strength calculation.
Preparation of Technical Specification of substation equipment.
Preparation of detailed BoQ which meets the requirement of client, IEC, ANSI & IEEE.
Preparation of Scope of Work
Grounding analysis using software.
Perform engineering calculation and report.
Review and approval of all substations related equipment.
Review and quality assurance of protection and control design drawings assuring both client and IEC, ANSI, and IEEE requirements are met.
Provide leadership, training and mentoring to less experienced engineers and team members.
