Role & responsibilities
- Design, build, and enhance Salesforce CPQ functionality, including product configuration, pricing logic, discounting structures, and approval workflows.
- Develop and maintain advanced CPQ components such as Product Rules, Price Rules, Custom Actions, Quote Calculators, and custom logic.
- Implement scalable CPQ solutions using a combination of declarative tools and programmatic development (Apex, triggers, custom interfaces, integrations).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications and CPQ configurations.
- Troubleshoot complex CPQ issues, including performance bottlenecks, calculation errors, and integration failures.
- Support release management, version control, testing, and documentation for CPQ and related enhancements.
- Maintain data integrity across CPQ objects; support bulk operations using Data Loader or other ETL tools.
- Work within a highly customized CPQ workplace, ensuring stability, maintainability,
and alignment with best practices.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience developing and customizing Salesforce CPQ, including Product Rules, Price Rules, Quote Templates, and advanced configuration logic.
- Strong understanding of CPQ data model, pricing engine, and quote calculation processes.
- Hands-on experience with Apex, SOQL, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Salesforce automation tools.
- Experience with integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, middleware, or custom integrations)
- Proficiency with Data Loader or similar tools for imports, updates, and data maintenance.
- Ability to work effectively with distributed teams and communicate technical concepts clearly.
- Familiarity with DevOps tools (Gearset, Copado, Git) is a plus.
- Experience with Salesforce ARM (Agentforce Revenue Management) and CPQ-to-ARM alignment is a plus.
