Essential Traditions by Kayal is a pioneer in retail of tradition cookware, kitchenware and lifestyle products with presence in Chennai & Hyderabad. We’re looking for a responsible and detail-oriented individual (1-5 years experience) to support inventory management and supplier coordination at Essential Traditions.
This role is ideal for someone who is curious about traditional products, enjoys organizing systems, and wants to learn sourcing and product development hands-on.
Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Track stock levels across stores and warehouse
- Update inventory records regularly
- Assist in stock planning and replenishment
- Flag low stock or slow-moving products
- Coordinate with store teams for stock requirements
Supplier Coordination
- Communicate with existing vendors for orders and follow-ups
- Track deliveries and ensure timelines are met
- Maintain basic supplier records and pricing details
Product Sourcing Support
- Assist in identifying recent products and suppliers
- Do basic research on materials, crafts, and vendors
- Support the team in adding new products to the catalog
Operations & Ownership
- Ensure day-to-day tasks are completed without constant follow-up
- Bring basic structure and organization to inventory tracking
- Be proactive in identifying issues and solving them
Who This Is For
- 1-2 years of experience in operations, inventory, retail, or similar roles
- Someone who is organized, reliable, and willing to learn
- Interest in traditional products, Indian culture, or handmade goods
- Comfortable working with numbers, lists, and basic Excel
- Able to work independently and take responsibility
