A PGT (Post Graduate Teacher) in Political Science is responsible for teaching senior secondary classes (Grades 11-12), developing students’ understanding of political theories, systems, and current affairs, and preparing them for board examinations.
Key Responsibilities1. Teaching & Academic Delivery
- Teach Political Science to Grades 11 and 12 (CBSE/ICSE/State Board).
- Deliver engaging lessons on topics like political theory, Indian politics, international relations, and public administration.
- Use interactive teaching methods (debates, discussions, case studies).
2. Lesson Planning
- Prepare detailed lesson plans aligned with the prescribed syllabus.
- Develop teaching materials, notes, assignments, and question papers.
- Integrate current affairs into classroom teaching.
3. Student Assessment
- Conduct regular tests, assignments, and evaluations.
- Prepare students for board exams and competitive exams.
- Analyze student performance and provide feedback.
4. Classroom Management
- Maintain discipline and a positive learning setting.
- Encourage critical thinking and participation.
5. Co-curricular Activities
- Organize debates, quizzes, Model United Nations (MUN), and seminars.
- Guide students in projects and research work.
6. Parent & School Coordination
- Attend parent-teacher meetings (PTMs).
- Collaborate with other faculty and school administration.
7. Professional Development
- Stay updated with latest political developments and teaching methodologies.
- Participate in workshops and training sessions.
Pay: ₹45,000.00 - ₹52,000.00 per month
