We are seeking an experienced and "boots-on-the-ground" Construction Foreman to lead our site labor and trade crews in Jaipur. You will be the bridge between the Site Engineers and the workforce, ensuring that daily tasks are executed efficiently, safely, and exactly as per instructions.
Key Responsibilities
- Labor Coordination: Organize and supervise daily work schedules for skilled and unskilled laborers, masons, and subcontractors.
- On-Site Execution: Direct the practical aspects of the construction process—reinforcement, shuttering, brickwork, and finishing—ensuring they meet technical drawings.
- Safety Leadership: Act as the primary safety officer on the ground. Ensure every worker follows safety rules and that the site remains hazard-free.
- Resource Management: Monitor the usage of materials and tools on-site to minimize wastage and prevent theft or misuse.
- Problem Solving:
Identify and resolve immediate site-level issues, such as equipment breakdowns or labor shortages, to keep the project moving.
- Quality Monitoring: Conduct preliminary checks on work quality before the Site Engineer's final inspection.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in on-site construction supervision.
- Education: Diploma in Civil Engineering or ITI (Civil). Significant field experience can be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Technical Skills:
- Deep understanding of construction sequences and manual labor techniques.
- Ability to read basic site drawings and layouts.
- Strong command of local labor management and the Jaipur regional dialect for effective communication.
- Attributes: Strong leadership presence, "lead-by-example" attitude, and the ability to handle tough conversations with labor crews.
