About the Role DEEP Trust is looking for a responsible, compassionate and well-organised Residential In-charge to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Elderly Care Home in Hyderabad.
The role involves coordinating resident care, supervising support staff, maintaining facility operations and records, and ensuring that residents receive a safe, respectful and comfortable living environment.
This is a full-time, on-site position and requires regular interaction with elderly residents, staff, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the day-to-day functioning of the Elderly Care Home.
- Ensure the safety, comfort, dignity and general wellbeing of residents.
- Coordinate daily routines, meals, housekeeping, hygiene and resident activities.
- Supervise caregivers, housekeeping and other support staff.
- Maintain staff attendance, duty schedules and basic operational records.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses and healthcare providers whenever required.
- Support residents in attending medical appointments and following prescribed care plans.
- Maintain resident records, visitor records, medicine-related documentation and other required registers.
- Communicate professionally with residents' families or authorised contacts when required.
- Monitor cleanliness, sanitation, food quality and general facility maintenance.
- Report maintenance, safety or resident-care concerns promptly to management.
- Coordinate procurement and availability of essential supplies.
- Assist in organising recreational, social and wellbeing activities for residents.
- Handle emergencies responsibly and coordinate appropriate medical or organisational support.
- Prepare periodic operational updates and reports for DEEP Trust management.
- Ensure organisational procedures and applicable safety and care standards are followed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Qualifications in Social Work, Healthcare Administration, Hospital Administration, Management or a related field will be an advantage.
- Relevant experience in elderly care, residential care facilities, healthcare, social-sector organisations, hostels or facility administration will be preferred.
- Fresh graduates with suitable communication, coordination and administrative skills may also apply.
Skills Required
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Compassionate and respectful approach towards elderly residents.
- Good organisational and people-management abilities.
- Ability to supervise and coordinate a small team.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain records and reports.
- Ability to respond calmly and responsibly to operational or emergency situations.
- Working proficiency in Telugu and English is required.
- Knowledge of Hindi will be an advantage.
Work Requirements
- This is an on-site role in Hyderabad.
- Candidates should be comfortable working in an elderly residential care workplace.
- Working hours and weekly-off arrangements will be communicated during the recruitment process.
