Senior Short-Form Video Editor – Business & Finance Content

We are looking for a high-quality Short-Form Video Editor to take ownership of editing and visual storytelling for a growing business and finance content platform.

The content will primarily cover business and emerging trends, delivered through short, conversational videos designed for Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube Shorts.

This role is suited to someone who can go beyond basic editing and understand how to turn an idea or script into a compelling 40–60 second story.

Role Overview

- Fully remote
- Approximately 30 videos per month
- Typical video length: 40 seconds to 1 minute
- Monthly compensation: INR 50,000
- Long-term opportunity for the right candidate
- 1–2 years of strong relevant experience

What You Will Own

You will be responsible for the end-to-end post-production and visual treatment of each video.

This includes

- Creating robust pacing and narrative flow from raw talking-head footage
- Identifying the most important moments, statistics and messages to emphasize
- Using B-roll, charts, images, headlines, screenshots and motion graphics to strengthen the story
- Designing clean, high-quality captions and on-screen typography
- Using transitions, zooms, sound design and visual movement thoughtfully
- Improving viewer retention without making the content feel overly edited or gimmicky
- Maintaining a consistent and recognizable visual identity across all content
- Optimizing content for Instagram Reels, LinkedIn, TikTok and YouTube Shorts
- Ensuring each video feels polished, premium and ready to publish

The Style The visual language should sit somewhere between:



Premium business creator × news explainer × podcast-style storytelling

You should have the ability to understand when to add a visual and when to let the speaker carry the story will be particularly important.

Experience & Skills

- 3-5 years of strong hands-on experience in short-form video editing
- Strong portfolio of Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts or other vertical video content – added to your CV
- Excellent understanding of pacing, hooks, storytelling and audience retention
- Strong typography, subtitle and motion-design sensibility
- Ability to independently source appropriate B-roll, imagery, charts and visual references
- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut or equivalent editing software
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines and deliver consistently

You will be expected to bring your own creative interpretation and editing judgment rather than simply executing a fixed template.

Compensation

INR 50,000 per month For approximately 30 finished short-form videos per month.

This is a fully remote role with flexibility around working hours, with an emphasis on quality, consistency and agreed delivery timelines.
