Job Summary
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversee the academic, administrative, and operational functions of the Faculty of Law.
- Ensure compliance with UGC, BCI, and other statutory/regulatory authorities.
- Lead curriculum planning, development, and periodic revision in line with emerging trends in legal education.
- Promote research, publications, funded projects, and interdisciplinary initiatives.
- Oversee faculty recruitment, performance management, mentoring, and professional development.
- Monitor academic quality, accreditation processes, and institutional rankings.
- Manage budgets, infrastructure planning, and optimal utilization of resources.
- Strengthen collaborations with courts, law firms, corporates, legal institutions, NGOs, and professional bodies.
- Encourage student engagement through moot courts, internships, legal aid clinics, seminars, and conferences.
- Represent the Faculty of Law in statutory committees, academic councils, and external forums.
Eligibility & Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Law is Mandatory from a recognized university.
- Minimum 15 years of teaching/research/academic experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role (Professor / Head / Dean).
- Must meet eligibility requirements as per UGC and BCI norms.
- Solid research credentials with publications in reputed journals/books.
- Experience in academic administration, accreditation, and regulatory compliance is essential.
