Your Role at a Glance
As a Quality Control Specialist on the Digital Enablement team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, functionality, and effectiveness of Salesforce implementations across the organization. You will be responsible for validating system requirements, testing solutions, identifying defects, and ensuring continuous improvement in the processes supported by Salesforce. Working closely with the Salesforce administrators, developers, and business stakeholders, your role will be pivotal in delivering a seamless and error-free experience for all users, ensuring alignment with business goals.
How You’ll Drive Success
Salesforce Testing & Validation
- Develop, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and scripts for Salesforce solutions.
- Perform functional, regression, and performance testing for new Salesforce features, customizations, and integrations.
- Validate data accuracy and integrity in Salesforce, ensuring compliance with established business rules and workflows.
Defect Identification & Management
- Identify, log, and prioritize defects, working closely with Salesforce developers and administrators to ensure timely resolution.
- Collaborate with the development team to recreate issues and ensure fixes are validated.
- Conduct post-release testing to confirm successful deployment of patches or new features.
Process Optimization
- Work with cross-functional teams to review business processes and identify areas for automation and optimization within Salesforce.
- Analyze current system functionality, providing insights to the Business Systems team for future improvements.
- Suggest enhancements to improve system performance, user experience, and workflow efficiencies.
User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Coordination
- Collaborate with stakeholders and end-users to coordinate and facilitate UAT sessions.
- Collect feedback from UAT participants, ensuring that all business requirements are met.
- Provide detailed documentation and recommendations based on UAT findings.
Documentation & Reporting
- Create detailed test reports, documenting results, defects, and test coverage.
- Develop and maintain user guides,
quality standards, and best practices related to Salesforce processes.
- Provide regular status updates on testing progress and quality metrics to stakeholders.
Collaboration & Support
- Act as a key point of contact between the Business Systems team and other departments for any Salesforce-related quality control activities.
- Provide technical support and training to users on current Salesforce features, ensuring smooth transitions.
- Stay up to date with Salesforce releases and best practices, ensuring the system's quality remains at a high standard.
The Talents We’re Seeking
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science or related degree or equivalent experience.
- Salesforce Certification a plus.
- ISTQB Foundation Level Certified Tester a plus.
- Minimum of four (4) years of experience in quality control or testing roles, preferably in a Salesforce or CRM environment.
- Strong understanding of quality assurance processes and test case development.
- Familiarity with Salesforce configuration, data structures, and customization capabilities.
- Experience with Salesforce and automated testing tools and methodologies.
- Understanding of data migration and data quality principles within Salesforce.
- Familiarity with business systems and processes, particularly in sales, marketing, or customer service.
- Familiarity with Salesforce integration tools and APIs is a plus.
Required Skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to evaluate complex workflows and system processes,
identifying potential issues before they impact operations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey technical information to nontechnical stakeholders.
- Experience working in Agile or Scrum environments.
