QA Lead - Manual & Automation Testing

Location: India - Pune

Full-Time On-Site Job

Shift: 11 am - 08 PM IST

- Manual & Automation Testing

Strong hands-on experience in both Manual and Automation Testing - mandatory

Functional, Regression, Integration and End-to-End Testing

API Testing

Automation framework development and maintenance

Test scripting and automation coverage

Performance / Load Testing

CI/CD test automation integration

- QA Leadership & Team Management

Experience leading and managing QA team members

Task planning, allocation and follow-up

Team mentoring, coaching and performance improvement

Ability to set clear expectations and hold the team accountable

Strong hands-on leadership — willing to deep-dive and work directly with the team when needed

Ability to keep the team focused and productive during challenges

- QA KPIs, Reporting & Analysis

Experience defining and managing QA KPIs

Robust reporting and analytical skills

Identify patterns, risks and improvement areas from QA data

Present clear QA reports, findings and action plans to management

- Ownership & Proactive Mindset

Strong ownership and accountability

Highly proactive rather than reactive

- QA Planning & Processes

Test Strategy and Test Planning

Test case design and review

Testing effort estimation

Release planning and readiness

Strong understanding of SDLC and STLC

Good knowledge of Agile / Scrum

Experience with Jira or similar tools

Strong team-player mindset

Work closely with Developers, BA, Product, DevOps and Project teams

Strong communication and escalation skills

Able to clearly communicate risks, blockers and quality concerns

Comfortable working with management and cross-functional stakeholders

- Preferred Experience

Experience in a product-based company

Experience working with US-based clients

Security Testing experience is a plus

Experience with compliance-focused products is a plus

Knowledge of HIPAA, GDPR, SOC 2 and ISO 9001 is a plus

Most Important for This Role

We are looking for a real hands-on QA Lead, not only someone with a Lead title.

The right person should be able to lead the team, manage KPIs, analyze quality data, spot risks early, take ownership, and roll up their sleeves to work alongside the team when challenges arise.
