Python Developer (FastAPI / AWS) – Contract

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Python Developer with solid expertise in distributed web application development and modern cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience building microservices, REST APIs, and scalable backend systems using modern Python frameworks and AWS services.

The developer should be comfortable working in an Agile environment, integrating with third-party services, and contributing to CI/CD-driven development workflows.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable Python-based backend services and microservices.

Build and maintain REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI or Django.

Work with AWS infrastructure including serverless and containerized services.

Develop applications deployed on AWS Lambda and AWS EKS environments.

Integrate backend services with databases, queues, caching layers, and third-party APIs.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.

Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following modern development practices.

Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD deployment processes.

Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment.





Technical Skills Required

Core Skills

Strong experience with Python in distributed application environments

Experience with FastAPI or Django

Experience building RESTful APIs and microservices

Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (MySQL / Aurora MySQL RDS)

Cloud & Infrastructure

Hands-on experience with AWS services and APIs

Experience with AWS Lambda

Experience with AWS EKS

Experience with Redis caching

Development & DevOps

Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Tools such as GitHub Actions, Ruff

Version control using Git / GitHub

Additional Skills

Experience working with third-party API integrations

Experience with workflow and integration architectures

Experience working on Linux / Mac (OS X) environments

Experience working in Agile / Scrum teams

Nice to Have

Full-stack experience, especially with React.js

Experience with AI-assisted development tools such as:

Claude Code

Cursor

GitHub Copilot

Testing

Experience writing unit tests and automation tests

Familiarity with Mocha and Jest frameworks

Candidate Profile

5+ years of backend development experience

Strong problem-solving and system design skills

Ability to work independently in a remote environment

Immediate or early joiners preferred
