Role Description The Purchase Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Tiruvalla, responsible for managing end-to-end procurement activities for materials, components, and services required for MV and LV manufacturing operations. Day-to-day tasks include identifying and evaluating suppliers, requesting and comparing quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and issuing purchase orders in line with company policies and project requirements. The role involves monitoring delivery schedules, coordinating with stores and production teams to ensure timely availability of materials,



and resolving any discrepancies related to quality, quantity, or documentation.

The Purchase

Officer will maintain accurate procurement records, support cost optimization initiatives, ensure compliance with applicable standards and regulations, and collaborate closely with engineering, quality, and finance departments to support smooth manufacturing operations.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in vendor management, supplier evaluation, and negotiation for technical materials and services.
- Proficiency in purchase order processing, inventory coordination, and basic supply chain management.
- Ability to interpret technical specifications, bills of materials, and drawings related to electrical and control systems.
- Competence in using ERP or procurement software, spreadsheets, and standard office applications for reporting and documentation.
- Attention to detail, analytical thinking, and ability to maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with production, engineering, quality, and finance teams.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Prior experience in industrial or electrical manufacturing procurement is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of relevant standards and compliance requirements for electrical equipment and components is an advantage.
