About the Opportunity

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for ensuring the timely procurement of components and materials as per BOM requirements and production schedules. The role requires strong vendor management, commercial negotiation, Excel skills and the ability to understand mechanical/engineering drawings and specifications.

Key Responsibilities

Vendor Management & Procurement

- Coordinate with vendors for RFQs, quotations, purchase orders and delivery follow-ups.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, lead times and other commercial conditions.
- Develop and maintain the vendor database and supplier performance records.
- Resolve vendor-related delivery, quality and quantity discrepancies.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and procurement optimisation.
- Develop relationships with existing suppliers and identify recent vendors.

Purchase Planning & Order Management

- Raise and track Purchase Orders (POs) through ERP based on BOM and material requirements.
- Maintain purchase records, PO tracking sheets and price history.
- Coordinate with R&D; and Production teams to ensure timely material availability.




- Monitor open purchase orders and proactively follow up with suppliers.
- Prevent material shortages that may impact production schedules.

Technical Purchase & Engineering Coordination

- Read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings for accurate part sourcing.
- Understand component specifications, dimensions and tolerances.
- Coordinate with R&D; regarding drawing revisions and technical specifications.
- Communicate technical requirements clearly to vendors.
- Support incoming quality inspection against approved drawings and specifications.

MIS, Documentation & ERP

- Maintain accurate procurement documentation and supplier records.
- Prepare quotation comparisons and purchase-related MIS.
- Maintain vendor pricing and historical purchase data.
- Update purchase transactions and order status in ERP.
- Use Excel for procurement tracking, analysis and reporting.

Candidate Profile

Required Skills & Experience

- 2–4 years of experience in Purchase / Procurement.
- Experience in automotive, auto-component or mechanical manufacturing is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of General Purchase and Vendor Management.
- Excellent vendor follow-up and negotiation skills.
- Good knowledge of MS Excel, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Ability to read and understand mechanical/engineering drawings.
- Good understanding of BOM-based procurement and production requirements.
- Candidates must be based in or willing to work in Faridabad, NCR.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with exposure to the following will have an advantage:

- Odoo ERP or similar procurement ERP
- GD&T; and engineering drawing tolerances
