Role Description The Public Relations Intern will support FHLE’s communications and outreach efforts in a hybrid role based in New Delhi, with some flexibility for work from home. This internship involves drafting and editing press releases, helping manage media outreach, and assisting with the coordination of public relations campaigns that highlight FHLE’s initiatives and impact. The intern will monitor media coverage, prepare communication materials for various stakeholders,
and help maintain consistent messaging across digital and traditional channels.
Day-to-day tasks also include supporting event-related communications, compiling PR performance reports, and collaborating with program and strategy teams to amplify key messages. This is an internship role designed to provide hands-on experience in nonprofit public relations and strategic communications.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Public Relations and Media Relations to support outreach and engagement with journalists and media outlets.
- Candidates should possess skills in Press Releases and Strategic Communications to craft clear, impactful messages aligned with FHLE’s vision and initiatives.
- Candidates should possess strong Communication skills, including written and verbal abilities, to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Relevant academic background in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in New Delhi, manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and maintain attention to detail.
- Familiarity with nonprofit or social impact sectors, digital communication tools, and basic research skills will be beneficial.
