Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical IT Financial Performance Data Steward to oversee budgeting and cost control for IT operations and projects within Cloud Services department. This contributor role is critical in ensuring financial discipline across IT initiatives,
supporting Delivery Leads with accurate financial tracking, helping optimize operational costs, and crucial in supporting data governance initiatives, maintaining data quality, and enabling data-driven decision-making across departments. The ideal candidate will have strong financial acumen, a solid understanding of data management principles, and a strong understanding of IT systems and IT services.
Key Responsibilities
Track and report on operational IT expenditures, identifying cost-saving opportunities and trends.
Prepare monthly and quarterly financial performance reports for IT leadership.
Collaborate with IT and finance teams to ensure accurate financial planning and alignment with corporate goals.
Support IT project teams with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis throughout the project lifecycle.

Track and report on key financial performance indicators (KPIs) per service lines, and vendors.
Monitor gaps between IT budgets and actual / rolling forecasts using internal financial tracking tools.
Partner with product team and vendor management teams to evaluate contracts,
pricing models, and service-level agreements (SLAs).
Monitor and control data consistency, both for financial and non-financial data used for analysis purpose) and propose improvement actions when applicable.
Ensure data quality by implementing validation rules, monitoring metrics, and resolving data discrepancies.
Maintain data dictionaries, metadata repositories, and data lineage documentation.
Contribute to define and maintain data standards, policies, and procedures in alignment with Enterprise data governance frameworks.
Conduct regular data audits and participate in data quality improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR and internal security policies.
Actively participate to the definition of requirements and evolutions of our internal IT tools used to drive our activities.
Participate in the design and implementation of data models and data stewardship tools.
Collaborate with business and IT teams to understand data requirements and ensure consistency across systems.
Support data migration, transformation,
and integration efforts across platforms.
Hard Skills
Strong cost control & financial performances capabilities
Good knowledge of cloud cost management and FinOps practices.
Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Familiarity with vendor financial oversight (e.g., outsourcing contracts).
Proficiency in data management tools and technologies (e.g., SQL, Excel, data cataloging tools).
Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, and data lifecycle management.
Knowledge of database structures, data modeling, and ETL processes.
Familiarity with data privacy regulations and compliance standards (e.g., GDPR, SOX).

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
4+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, preferably within IT or manufacturing environments.
Certifications such as Certified Data Steward (CDS) or Certified Data Management
Professional (CDMP) or a related field. are advantageous.
2+ years of experience in data stewardship, data governance, or data management roles.
Proficiency in using financial tracking tools, Excel, PowerBI; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
Experience in a multinational or matrix organization with a focus on digital transformation is a plus
