Role Description The Project Manager (Structural) is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai, responsible for overseeing structural steel projects from planning through execution and handover. This role includes coordinating with design, procurement, fabrication, and site teams to ensure project milestones, quality standards, and safety requirements are met. Daily tasks involve managing project schedules, monitoring progress, handling expediting activities, and resolving technical or logistical issues that may affect timelines or costs.

The Project

Manager (Structural) will also supervise inspections, manage documentation, and communicate regularly with clients and internal stakeholders on project status, risks,



and deliverables.

Qualifications

- Strong project management skills, including planning, scheduling, resource coordination, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience in expediting and working as an expeditor to ensure timely procurement, fabrication, and delivery of structural components.
- Knowledge of inspection processes for structural steel and related materials, with the ability to coordinate quality checks and compliance documentation.
- Competence in logistics management to handle transportation, site deliveries, and material handling for structural projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline; advanced certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) are an advantage.
- Experience in structural steel, PEB, or industrial infrastructure projects, preferably in an on-site project management capacity.
- Proficiency in project management and engineering tools (such as MS Project, Excel, AutoCAD or relevant structural software).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities, with attention to safety and regulatory compliance.
- Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage contractors.
