About the Role We're looking for an experienced Product Owner / Business Analyst with 8+ years of experience to join our Reliability Engineering team one of our US based client. This person will work closely with engineers, architects, operations teams, business SMEs, and process owners to define and deliver solutions that improve operational efficiency, system reliability, and automation.
The ideal candidate is equally comfortable discussing process challenges with business stakeholders and diving into system architecture, APIs, data flows, and integrations with technical teams. A strong technology background is important, as many initiatives involve complex platforms, large-scale data exchanges, and emerging AI capabilities.
What You'll Do • Work with engineers, business SMEs, and process owners to identify problems worth solving and turn them into actionable requirements
- Own and maintain product backlogs, priorities, and user stories
- Lead workshops and discovery sessions to understand existing processes, systems, and pain points
- Partner with technical teams to define requirements for current capabilities, integrations, and automation opportunities
- Help identify and shape AI use cases that improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and provide better insights for decision-making
- Understand how data moves across systems and help define solutions that improve data quality, accessibility, and usability
- Work closely with development teams throughout the delivery lifecycle to clarify requirements and remove ambiguity • Ensure delivered solutions solve the original business problem and provide measurable value
What We're Looking For • 8+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst,
or similar role in a technology-driven environment
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to work effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders
- Experience gathering requirements, mapping processes, and translating business needs into technical solutions
- Solid understanding of software development and Agile delivery practices
- Comfortable working in environments where priorities evolve and multiple teams are involved
Technical Background Candidates should be comfortable engaging with engineers and architects on topics such as:
- APIs and system integrations
- Data architecture and data flows
- Cloud-based applications and platforms
- Event-driven and service-based architectures
- Enterprise applications and operational platforms
- Data quality, data governance, and reporting
AI Experience Hands-on AI experience is not required, but the ideal candidate should have exposure to AI-related initiatives and understand:
- How AI solutions depend on quality data and integrations
- Common AI and automation use cases within large organizations
- The lifecycle of AI solutions from idea through implementation
- How to evaluate business value and prioritize AI opportunities The Right Person The right person is naturally curious, asks good questions, and isn't afraid to challenge assumptions. They can quickly build credibility with engineers while also earning the trust of business teams. They are organized, proactive, and capable of bringing structure to complex discussions without getting lost in process for the sake of process.
A background in Reliability Engineering, IT Operations, Platform Engineering, Observability, Data Platforms, or large-scale enterprise technology environments would be a strong plus.
