What You’ll Be Doing (position summary):

The DevOps Enablement Engineer supports internal application teams to adopt and optimize the enterprise DevOps toolchain. This role provides hands-on support to application development, operations, and partner teams to adopt the Enterprise Toolchain, migrate source code repositories to GHEC, develop CI/CD workflows using GitHub Actions, and integrate pipelines with other key tools including Snyk (for application security scanning) and ServiceNow (for automated change management) improve software delivery lifecycle practices through automation, workflow integration, and platform enablement. The role delivers reusable solutions, training, and technical guidance to enhance user experience, increase operational efficiency, and promote continuous improvement across the deployment pipeline.

How You’ll Succeed (responsibilities):

DevOps Toolchain Enablement:

- Consult with internal application development, operations, and partner teams to enable adoption and effective use of the enterprise DevOps toolchain.
- Guide teams through onboarding, integration, and optimization of tools including GitHub, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, HashiCorp Vault, Snyk, and ServiceNow to improve delivery efficiency and consistency.
- Develop tailored solutions, including internal workflows, reusable workflows, and custom actions, to meet team-specific engineering and operational needs.
- Provide feedback to DevOps COE engineering leadership on onboarding experience, tool usability, and opportunities to improve enterprise-wide adoption.

Automation and Engineering Solutions:

- Build and maintain Python and shell-based scripts and tools to automate manual tasks, improve workflows, and support system integration across the toolchain.
- Codify platform configurations across supported environments and platforms to improve standardization, repeatability, and governance.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance deployment automation and efficiency.
- Training, Advisory, and Support
- Deliver knowledge transfer sessions to empower internal teams to maintain and enhance DevOps pipelines.
- Mentor users and project teams on best practices in CI/CD, workflow design, automation, and secure DevOps delivery.
- Provide hands-on support to resolve onboarding, configuration, and workflow challenges in support of successful tool adoption.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS:

- This role works closely with application development teams to support onboarding, workflow integration, and CI/CD pipeline optimization.
- This role collaborates with operations, infrastructure, and platform teams to codify configurations, automate processes, and improve operational support capabilities.
- This role supports business units and internal stakeholders by tailoring solutions that meet team-specific delivery and platform needs.

- Enterprise scope role influencing DevOps practices, tooling strategy, and software delivery architecture across multiple technology groups.




- Supports broad internal stakeholder groups including application development, quality assurance, operations, infrastructure, enterprise architecture, and business units.
- Provides architectural leadership for enterprise tooling including GitHub, GitHub Actions, JFrog Artifactory, SonarQube, and related automation and platform capabilities.
- Provides technical expertise and advisory support to peers and business partners.
- Contributes to enterprise transformation through strategy, roadmap development, standards definition, mentoring, and cross-functional solution design.
- Contributes to the achievement of business unit goals through advanced technical expertise and solution delivery

Experience: 6+ years of experience

Who You Are (skills/qualifications):

- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Must Have Skills:

- 6+ years of experience in DevOps Engineering, Software Development, or related roles with a focus on enablement and end-user support.
- Strong experience administering GitHub Enterprise, JFrog Artifactory.
- Hands-on experience developing CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, including workflow design and customization.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and/or shell scripting such as Bash or PowerShell.
- Experience building reusable workflows, custom actions, scripts, and automation tools to support engineering teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps principles, Agile ways of working, and software delivery lifecycle optimization.
- Experience enabling, mentoring, and training internal users and teams on technical platforms and best practices.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills with the ability to explain detailed technical concepts clearly.
- Strong collaboration and relationship management skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Strong customer service orientation with a focus on internal client experience and practical solution delivery.
- Continuous improver: You proactively spot risks, inefficiencies, and quality gaps—and you take ownership to fix them with proven ability to champion change.

Good to Have:

- Experience with Snyk – application security scanning (SAST and SCA testing)Experience with Ansible, Docker, Helm, OpenShift, AKS, and Kubernetes.
- Broader system administration experience across enterprise platforms and environments.
- Experience in audit, compliance, access control, and sensitive information management within DevOps or platform architecture contexts.
