About The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior Engineer to join our Electrical & Electronics team within GE Vernova’s Advanced Research division. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to the development and deployment of transformative electrical and grid technologies that support our strategic objectives in electrification and renewable energy. Your expertise will guide research initiatives, influence product roadmaps, and foster strategic collaborations with academic institutions and industry partners.

This role offers the opportunity to lead disruptive technology programs from conception through to commercialization, impacting the future of energy systems globally. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product management, and executive leadership, to ensure that our technological advancements align with business goals and market needs.

Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering with specialization in Power Systems, or a master’s degree with extensive industry experience. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in electrical systems deployment, research, and development is required,



along with proven leadership in managing large-scale projects and technical teams. Deep expertise in power system operation, control, protection, and market dynamics is essential.

Hands-on experience with hardware-in-the-loop testing, simulation software such as PSCAD, Matlab/Simulink, DigSilent, and programming skills in Python, C++, and Visual Studio are highly desirable. Candidates should demonstrate a successful track record of leading innovative research programs, securing funding through proposals, and translating ideas into market-ready products. Strong communication, collaboration, and strategic thinking skills will set candidates apart.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Engineer at GE Vernova, your responsibilities will include identifying and addressing electrical and grid technology needs in collaboration with various business units. You will lead research initiatives aimed at developing disruptive technologies, ensuring alignment with long-term strategic roadmaps.

Your role involves building a robust portfolio of research programs that drive the electrification strategy, overseeing early-stage technology development, and maturing these technologies toward commercial deployment. You will coordinate with internal teams and external partners to demonstrate new technologies through lab testing and pilot projects, ensuring integration into product offerings. Additionally, you will contribute to the formulation of multi-year technology and product roadmaps, emphasizing safety, quality, and innovation.





Providing technical leadership on emerging market trends and fostering strategic partnerships will be key to maintaining GE Vernova’s competitive edge. You will also support the integration of related fields such as power electronics, AI/machine learning, and cybersecurity into the broader research agenda.
