Power BI Administrator

· Proven experience with Power BI administration, including a strong understanding of the Power BI Service, Power BI Desktop, and Power BI Gateway.

· Hands-on experience managing Power BI Premium capacities and a foundational knowledge of Microsoft Fabric administration, including workloads like data engineering and business intelligence.

· Microsoft Fabric capacities, including Premium, to ensure performance, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

· Expertise in governance, security, and tenant settings management in both Power BI and Fabric.

· Experience with deployment pipelines for Power BI content.

· Robust troubleshooting skills for performance and connectivity issues.

· Implement and enforce security policies, including configuring Row-Level Security (RLS) and managing user access.

· Monitor for compliance and potential security issues.

· Experience with licensing management and capacity planning and workspaces.





· Administer and configure the Power BI tenant settings through the Power BI Admin Portal.

· Design and manage deployment pipelines for content moving between environments (development, UAT, production).

· Automate tasks using scripts (e.g., PowerShell) and APIs to improve efficiency.

· Install, configure, and manage on-premises and virtual network data gateways for hybrid data connectivity.

· Monitor data refresh schedules and troubleshoot refresh failures.

· Monitor and optimize Power BI performance, including query and refresh.

· Manage workspaces, datasets, dataflows, reports, and dashboards. Set up and manage deployment pipelines for content deployment.

· Plan for future capacity needs to ensure reliability and scalability
