Role Description This full-time PLC/HMI Programmer & Service Engineer role is a hybrid position based in Gandhinagar, with some work-from-home flexibility. The role involves programming, configuring, and testing PLC and HMI applications for industrial automation systems, including commissioning and troubleshooting at customer sites.

Responsibilities include diagnosing control system issues, performing preventive and corrective maintenance, and providing on-site and remote technical support. The engineer will collaborate with project teams to design control logic, integrate field devices, and ensure compliance with safety and performance standards. The role also includes preparing technical documentation, training end users on system operation,



and coordinating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to support smooth project execution.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in Computer Science and Software Development for designing and maintaining control and automation solutions.
- Proficiency in Programming and Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) to develop, debug, and optimize PLC/HMI and related software applications.
- Experience or exposure to Back-End Web Development for interfacing automation systems with web-based dashboards, databases, or Industrial IoT platforms.
- Hands-on experience with PLC and HMI programming tools (e.g., Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Schneider, or similar), as well as industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret electrical and control schematics, P&IDs;, and technical documentation, with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Comfort working in industrial environments and traveling to customer sites as needed, with a focus on safety and quality standards.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and provide clear service reports.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechatronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience in industrial automation, drives, motion control, or solar-based irrigation systems is an advantage.
