Role Description This is a full-time, in office Piping Designer role based in Pune City.
The Piping
Designer will develop and update piping layouts, isometrics, and detailed drawings in accordance with project specifications, industry codes, and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with multidisciplinary engineering teams, reviewing process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs;), preparing bills of materials, and coordinating with project managers to meet schedule and quality requirements.
The role also involves performing field checks or site measurements when needed, ensuring constructability, and supporting design changes and technical queries during project execution.
The Piping
Designer will contribute to continuous improvement of design practices and documentation within the team.
Qualifications
.Hands-on experience in AVEVA E3D piping modelling
- Develop piping layouts, equipment arrangements & plot plans
- Route piping considering safety, operability, maintainability & constructability
- Generate & check Isometrics, GAs and MTOs
- Model pipe supports in coordination with Stress & Structural teams
- Interpret P&IDs;, line lists, equipment datasheets & piping specifications
- Participate in 3D model reviews, clash resolution & multidisciplinary coordination
- • Maintain model quality and status control in line with project/client standards
- Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in an on-site, multi-disciplinary workplace.
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in piping design.
- Experience in industrial projects (e.g., oil and gas, power, chemical, or manufacturing facilities) is an advantage.
