Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Performance Test Engineer with robust expertise in Apache JMeter and Micro Focus LoadRunner. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, executing, and analyzing performance tests to ensure applications meet scalability, reliability, and responsiveness requirements. The role involves close collaboration with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to identify performance bottlenecks and optimize system performance.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and execute performance, load, stress, endurance, and scalability tests using JMeter and LoadRunner.

· Analyze non-functional requirements and define appropriate performance test strategies and scenarios.

· Develop and parameterize test scripts to simulate real-world user behavior and workloads.

· Configure and manage test environments, including servers, databases, and network setups.

· Monitor system performance during test execution using tools such as AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, or New Relic.

· Collect and analyze performance metrics (CPU, memory, response time, throughput, etc.) to identify bottlenecks.

· Collaborate with development, infrastructure, and DevOps teams to troubleshoot and resolve performance issues.

· Prepare detailed performance test reports, summarizing findings, root cause analysis, and optimization recommendations.

· Participate in capacity planning and benchmarking activities.

· Maintain and enhance performance test scripts and frameworks for reusability and scalability.





· Ensure adherence to performance testing best practices, standards, and methodologies.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

· 4–8 years of experience in performance testing and engineering.

· Strong hands-on experience with Apache JMeter and LoadRunner (VuGen, Controller, Analysis).

· Proficiency in scripting protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, Web Services (SOAP/REST), Citrix, TruClient, or WebSockets.

· Good understanding of performance testing concepts (response time, throughput, concurrency, latency, scalability).

· Experience in test result analysis, bottleneck identification, and tuning recommendations.

· Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., AppDynamics, Dynatrace, Grafana, Splunk, or CloudWatch).

· Strong knowledge of SQL and ability to validate backend performance.

· Experience with CI/CD integration for performance testing (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI).

· Understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Agile methodologies.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Experience with cloud-based performance testing (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

· Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or JavaScript) for custom test logic.

· Familiarity with containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes).

· Experience with performance tuning of applications, databases, and servers.
