Welspun is establishing a state-of-the-art Advanced Technology Centre at Anjar (Kutch), Gujarat, to support global customers in materials qualification, fracture mechanics, hydrogen-induced cracking (HIC), welding technology, and coating innovations. This integrated facility will assess material performance under mechanical loading, corrosive environments, and simulated service conditions relevant to energy infrastructure. By combining environmental testing, fracture mechanics, mechanical evaluation, and advanced materials characterization,



the laboratory provides a comprehensive platform for evaluating pipeline steels and structural materials used in oil & gas and emerging hydrogen applications.

Role – Individual Contributor

The Advanced Materials Testing Centre is an integrated facility for qualification and performance evaluation of materials exposed to demanding service environments, including hydrogen, sour service, and aggressive corrosive conditions. Through controlled simulation of combined mechanical and environmental loading, the Centre enables investigation of degradation mechanisms such as hydrogen damage, sulphide stress cracking, hydrogen‑induced cracking, and fracture behavior under service‑relevant conditions. These capabilities support material qualification, structural integrity assessment, and reliability evaluation of pipeline and structural components.
