Role Description The PD Head (Product Development Head) is responsible for leading the end-to-end product development function for Kiara Jewellery, ensuring that new collections align with brand standards, market trends, and client expectations. This full-time, on-site role, based in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, includes overseeing concept creation, design approvals, prototyping, and coordination with manufacturing teams to ensure feasibility, quality, and timely delivery. The PD Head will collaborate closely with merchandising, sales, procurement, and production to translate client briefs and market insights into commercially viable, aesthetically refined products.

Day-to-day tasks include managing the PD team, setting development timelines, reviewing technical specifications, monitoring cost targets, and maintaining documentation and process improvements in line with lean management principles.



The role also involves vendor and stakeholder management, regular reporting to leadership, and driving innovation in materials, techniques, and design processes.

Qualifications

- Strong product development and design management skills, including experience overseeing jewelry collections from concept to commercialization.
- Expertise in jewelry design processes, CAD or related design tools, and understanding of materials, manufacturing techniques, and quality standards.
- Proficiency in project planning, workflow management, and process optimization, ideally within a lean or continuous improvement environment.
- Ability to interpret market trends, client requirements, and brand positioning to guide design direction and product strategy.
- Solid leadership, team management, and cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to mentor and develop PD team members.
- Strong communication and documentation skills, including clear reporting, specification writing, and stakeholder coordination.
- Experience in the luxury jewelry or accessories sector, preferably in an export-oriented or global brand environment.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Jewelry Design, Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced manufacturing setting in the Mumbai Metropolitan Region, with high attention to detail and accountability.
