We are looking for an experienced Team Coach – Payment Posting to lead and mentor a team handling payment posting operations for US healthcare clients. The ideal candidate will have strong domain expertise in RCM, particularly in ERA/EOB posting, denial identification, and payment reconciliation, along with proven people-management and coaching skills to drive team performance, quality, and productivity.

Responsibilities

- Supervise and coach a team of Payment Posting Associates/Executives to ensure accurate and timely posting of payments (ERA/EOB, patient payments, insurance payments).
- Monitor daily production and quality metrics; provide real-time feedback and corrective coaching to team members.
- Conduct regular one-on-ones, huddles, and refresher training sessions on payment posting guidelines, denial codes, and payer-specific rules.
- Review and resolve escalations related to unapplied cash, discrepancies, underpayments, overpayments, and adjustments.
- Oversee bank reconciliation activities — ensure daily/weekly reconciliation of deposits posted in the system against bank statements/lockbox reports, and resolve any variances promptly.
- Guide the team on patient statement processing — ensure timely and accurate generation, review, and posting related to patient billing statements, and resolve patient-related payment discrepancies.
- Manage credit balance resolution — ensure timely identification, review, and resolution of credit balances (overpayments) as per client and compliance guidelines, including coordination for refunds or adjustments where applicable.
- Ensure adherence to client SLAs (Turnaround Time, Accuracy, Productivity)



and compliance with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform root-cause analysis on recurring errors (including reconciliation mismatches and credit balance buildup) and implement process improvement measures.
- Prepare and present daily/weekly/monthly performance reports (productivity, quality, attendance) to Operations Manager.
- Identify training needs within the team and coordinate with the training/quality team for skill development.
- Support new hire onboarding, cross-training, and knowledge transfer sessions.
- Drive employee engagement and motivation to reduce attrition and improve team morale.
- Ensure proper documentation of payment posting, bank reconciliation, patient statement, and credit balance processes, and keep SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) updated.
- Collaborate with Quality Analysts and other Team Coaches to standardize best practices across the floor

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of US Healthcare RCM, specifically Payment Posting (Manual & Auto Posting, ERA/EOB, Denials, Adjustments).
- Familiarity with payer guidelines (Medicare, Medicaid, Commercial Insurance).
- Hands-on experience with billing software (e.g., Epic, Athenahealth, eClinicalWorks, Kareo, or similar) is a plus.
- Excellent people management, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
- Good communication skills (verbal and written) – ability to interact with cross-functional teams and, if required, US-based stakeholders.
- Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) for reporting and analysis.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a target-driven setting.
