Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site OPT Recruiter. The OPT Recruiter will focus on identifying, sourcing, marketing, and onboarding OPT candidates, particularly in IT and related technical domains, through job portals, social media, referrals, campus networks, and professional communities. The role also involves end-to-end coordination of payroll, W2 documentation, offer letters, and payment. processing for placed candidates.

Key Responsibilities

- Strong knowledge of OPT, CPT, H1B, and related US work authorization processes, with the ability to guide candidates through documentation and compliance steps
- Source, market, and place OPT candidates (bench sales) with vendors and clients through job portals, social media, referrals, campus networks, and professional communities
- Actively market bench consultants on OPT/CPT status to vendors and implementation partners to secure placements
- Screen resumes and conduct initial candidate interviews
- Coordinate technical discussions between candidates and hiring managers
- Prepare, issue, and manage offer letters for selected candidates
- Handle end-to-end payroll processing and coordination for W2 consultants
- Manage W2 documentation, compliance, and related paperwork for OPT/CPT candidates
- Track and coordinate timely payments to consultants, ensuring accuracy in billing and pay cycles
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date candidate records in the ATS
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle — sourcing, marketing, screening, offer negotiation, and onboarding




- Ensure timely follow-up with candidates and vendors for a smooth onboarding and placement experience
- Collaborate with internal teams to understand client and project requirements
- Support workforce planning initiatives
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with candidates, vendors, and training partners.

Qualifications

- 1 year – 10 years of experience in recruitment, preferably in IT staffing/consulting
- Strong knowledge of OPT, CPT, H1B, and related US work authorization processes, with the ability to guide candidates through documentation and compliance steps
- Experience in end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, marketing, screening, interviewing, and onboarding candidates for IT and technology roles
- Hands-on experience with payroll processing, W2 documentation, offer letter preparation, and payment coordination for consultants
- Proficiency using job portals (e.g., Dice, Monster, LinkedIn), social media, and networking channels to build and maintain a candidate pipeline
- Solid communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage candidates and vendors professionally and build trust-based relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven environment, manage multiple requisitions, and prioritize tasks effectively
- Comfort with using ATS/CRM tools, spreadsheets, and basic reporting to track recruitment, payroll, and payment activities
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Prior experience recruiting/marketing OPT candidates for IT consulting or staffing firms is highly preferred; familiarity with US time zones and client expectations is an advantage.
