ABOUT MANDRAKE BIO

Mandrake Bio is an AI-biology research lab building models that understand and design biology. We combine AI, biological data, biophysics, compute and wet-lab feedback to develop programmable proteins and gene-editing systems.

We are a small, talent-dense team backed by Activate, Antler, DeVC, Spectrum Impact and others.

THE ROLE

We’re looking for a high-agency Operations Associate who can make the entire company move faster.

You’ll take ownership of the operational work behind our research- from procurement, vendors and finance coordination to hiring logistics and workplace operations.

This is not a passive administrative role. You’ll be expected to notice problems early, create systems where none exist and reliably take things from “someone should handle this” to done.

WHAT YOU’LL OWN

- Run day-to-day office and research operations
- Manage procurement, inventory, vendors, quotations, shipping and follow-ups
- Coordinate invoices, payments, budgets and documentation with our finance partners
- Support hiring, interview scheduling, onboarding and employee operations
- Organize travel, meetings, visitors and company events




- Build simple processes and trackers that make recurring work more reliable
- Take ownership of urgent, ambiguous projects that do not fit neatly into anyone else’s role

Prior operations or startup experience is useful but not mandatory. A biotechnology background is not required, however a prior role with a high growth biotech startup is a huge plus.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

Salary: ₹60,000–₹80,000 per month, based on experience

Benefits: Health Insurance, Enterprise AI Tools and travel allowances as needed

Location: Koramangala, Bengaluru, Karnataka

Format: Full time and on-site
