About the Role We are seeking an experienced and highly detail-oriented Controller to take ownership of accounting, financial administration, reporting, internal controls, and overall financial integrity across personal finances, a management company, and related real estate and business entities. The Controller will work closely with the Senior Property Manager and property management team on the financial and asset management aspects of the portfolio. This role will establish reliable accounting processes, checks and balances, and financial controls to ensure that transactions are accurate, properly documented, and recorded under the correct entity and property.
Must-have qualifications Proven experience as a Controller, Accounting Manager, Senior Accountant, or similar senior-level accounting role
Strong hands-on experience managingaccounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls
Experience managing accounting records acrossmultiple entities, properties, or business units
Strong proficiency with Quick Books
Robust understanding of General Ledger (GL)

Hands-on experience with:
Bank reconciliations
Credit card reconciliations
Loan reconciliations
Mortgage reconciliations
Investment reconciliations
Experience with Accounts Payable, payment processing, and payroll accounting
Experience with1099s and tax/compliance support
Strong understanding ofinternal controls, segregation of duties, and financial processes
Experience identifying and resolvingaccounting discrepancies, unusual transactions, and control issues
Strong experience maintaining accurate accounting records, supporting schedules, documentation, and financial reports
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to handleconfidential financial information with discretion
Ability to work independently and takefull ownership of financial responsibilities
Exceptional written and spoken Englis
