Role Summary:
As a QA Lead, you will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products by conducting thorough testing throughout the development lifecycle. In addition, you will take on team leadership responsibilities, guiding and mentoring QA teams members, managing testing activities, and ensuring alignment with project goals. You will work closely with development and cross-functional teams to ensure products meet or exceed customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Test Planning and Strategy:
Collaborate with the development team to understand project requirements and specifications.
Develop comprehensive test plans and detailed test cases based on project documentation.
Define testing strategies and allocate tasks across team members.
2. Execution of Test Cases:
Execute test cases to assess functionality, performance, and security of software products.
Identify and report defects with detailed information for developers to resolve.
3. Automation Testing:
Develop and maintain automated test scripts to improve testing efficiency.
Implement and execute automated test suites as part of the CI/CD pipeline.
4. Regression Testing:
Conduct regression testing to ensure recent code changes do not impact existing functionality.
Collaborate with developers to validate bug fixes.
5. Performance and Load Testing:
Perform performance and load testing to ensure scalability and reliability.
Analyze results and recommend performance improvements.
6. Documentation:
Maintain detailed records of test cases, results, and defects.
Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, especially for Veeva applications.
7. Team Leadership & Management:
Lead and mentor a team of QA engineers, providing guidance and technical support.
Assign tasks, track progress, and ensure timely delivery of testing activities.
Conduct code reviews for test scripts and ensure adherence to QA standards.
