Job Title: Design Engineer – Automotive Plastic Components
Location: Noida, India

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Design Engineer with hands-on expertise in CATIA V5 and automotive plastic component design. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing plastic components and assemblies for automotive applications, along with a strong understanding of styling feasibility, tooling, DFM/DFA, GD&T;, and engineering drawings.

Key Responsibilities
Design and development of automotive plastic components and assemblies using CATIA V5.
Create and modify 3D models, assemblies, master sections, and detailed engineering drawings.
Perform A-Class surface analysis and evaluate styling feasibility for production.
Conduct tooling feasibility studies, including:
Draft analysis
Core and cavity feasibility
Slider feasibility
Lifter feasibility




Ejection feasibility
Apply DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) principles for injection-moulded plastic components.
Develop designs considering manufacturability, assembly requirements, quality, cost, and functional performance.
Apply GD&T; principles and ensure compliance with engineering and customer requirements.
Support DFMEA, FEA/Mold Flow analysis, testing, and validation activities.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including styling, tooling, manufacturing, quality, testing, and suppliers.
Incorporate design changes based on engineering feedback, validation results, and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure designs meet project timelines, technical specifications, and applicable automotive standards.

Required Technical Skills
CATIA V5 – strong proficiency in part design, assembly design, surfacing, and drafting.
Solid experience in automotive plastic component and assemb
