Role Description This is a contract, in office Network Engineer L2/L3 Support role based in Bengaluru South.

The Network

Engineer will be responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and supporting network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and related components. Day-to-day activities include responding to incidents, performing root cause analysis, implementing configurations and changes, and ensuring network performance and availability. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, documenting network issues and resolutions, and adhering to security and compliance standards.





The engineer will support continuous improvement of network operations by proposing enhancements and assisting with upgrades and migrations as needed.

Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of L2/L3 networking concepts, including switching, routing protocols, VLANs, and subnetting.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware such as routers, switches, and firewalls from major vendors (e.g., Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, Fortinet).
- Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds, Nagios, or similar), and experience analyzing network logs and performance metrics.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs, and network security best practices, including access control, intrusion detection/prevention, and segmentation.
- Experience supporting on-premise and hybrid cloud network environments, including configuration changes, upgrades, and incident management.
- Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, JNCIS, or equivalent are preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Ability to work on-site in Bengaluru South, manage priorities under pressure, and communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
