Role Description The Music Teacher will design and deliver engaging music lessons for students across appropriate grade levels, aligned with CBSE guidelines and the school’s holistic education approach. This full time, on-site role in Bagh involves teaching music theory and performance, planning lesson content, preparing students for school events, assemblies, and competitions, and organizing practice sessions and rehearsals.

The Music

Teacher will assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, maintain classroom discipline,



and contribute to school cultural programs and celebrations. The role includes collaborating with other faculty, supporting co-curricular activities, and fostering an inclusive, encouraging environment where students can explore and develop their musical talents.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong knowledge of Music Theory and a broad understanding of Music as a discipline.
- Candidates should possess practical Music Performance skills, with the ability to demonstrate techniques and guide student performances.
- Candidates should possess expertise in Music Education, including lesson planning, classroom management, and age-appropriate teaching methods.
- Candidates should possess proficiency in Piano or another primary instrument suitable for school-level accompaniment and instruction.
- Relevant qualifications such as a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Music, Music Education, or related field.
- Prior teaching experience in a school setting, preferably with CBSE or similar curriculum, is an advantage.
- Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to work effectively with children and adolescents from diverse backgrounds.
- Ability to plan and manage school events, concerts, and music-related activities, and to collaborate with colleagues and the school administration.
