Role PurposeFor our client, a global pharmaceutical company, we are seeking an experienced Intune Migration Engineer, with previous expertise in SCCM to Intune migrations, to lead the technical migration of device policy management from legacy Group Policy (GPO) and SCCM to Microsoft Intune, as part of a wider Workplace Modernisation Program.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Digital Workplace Technical Lead and the internal Workplace Engineering team to analyze, design, test and implement Intune policy configurations across the enterprise device estate.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze existing Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and SCCM configuration baselines to build a migration mapping to Intune device and configuration profiles.
- Design, configure, test and implement Intune policy and compliance profiles to replace legacy GPO/SCCM policy enforcement.
- Migrate policy management for shared mailbox resources as part of the workstream scope.
- Validate policy behavior through pilot deployment before estate-wide rollout.
- Troubleshoot policy conflicts, deployment failures, and compliance drift during migration.
- Partner with the Digital Workplace Technical Lead and Security & Compliance team to ensure migrated policies meet security and regulatory requirements.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation for migrated policies and configuration baselines.
- Support cutover activities and post-migration stabilization.
Required Qualifications
- Previous, hands-on expertise delivering SCCM (Configuration Manager) to Intune migrations at enterprise scale.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in Microsoft endpoint management technologies (Group Policy, SCCM/Configuration Manager, Microsoft Intune).
- Hands-on experience migrating Group Policy Objects to Intune configuration/compliance profiles at enterprise scale.
- Strong understanding of Windows device policy architecture, compliance and conditional access concepts.
- Experience troubleshooting policy conflicts and deployment issues across a large device estate.
- Solid technical documentation skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in global and cross-functional environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other highly regulated industries.
- Relevant Microsoft certifications (e.g. Endpoint Administrator Associate or equivalent).
- Familiarity with compliance requirements such as SOX, GDPR, and audit controls.
