Role Description This is a part-time, remote role for a Medical Coder (Trainer) at GrowAI Edtech. The trainer will design and deliver online lessons on medical coding principles, guidelines, and best practices, including ICD, CPT, and HCPCS code sets. Daily activities include preparing training materials, presenting live or recorded sessions, demonstrating coding scenarios, and reviewing learner assignments for accuracy and compliance.

The trainer will provide feedback and coaching, answer learner queries via virtual platforms, and update course content to align with current regulations and industry standards.



The role also involves collaborating with the instructional design team to improve curriculum quality, maintaining clear documentation, and contributing to learner assessments and certification preparation.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Medical Coding and Coding Experience skills, including familiarity with standard code sets and documentation requirements.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and Health Information Management to ensure accurate interpretation of clinical records and data.
- Candidates should possess RHIT or similar professional credentials, or equivalent experience in health information or medical coding.
- Candidates should possess effective communication and teaching skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts clearly in virtual settings.
- Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and a commitment to regulatory compliance and data integrity.
- Candidates should possess proficiency with digital learning tools, basic office software, and online collaboration platforms.
- Previous experience as a coding educator, mentor, or team lead, and familiarity with AI or data-driven healthcare solutions, is beneficial.
