PR & Media Relations LeadAhmedabad Event Bliss | Remote / AhmedabadAbout Ahmedabad Event BlissAhmedabad Event Bliss (AEB) is building a new-age event and cultural ecosystem from Gujarat — bringing together talent, culture, entertainment, brands and experiences.
Our work sits at the intersection of events, entertainment, culture, talent and experiential storytelling.
We are currently developing a portfolio of projects across live events, cultural experiences, talent initiatives and brand partnerships with an ambition to create experiences that people don't just attend, but remember.
As we enter our next phase of growth, we're looking for someone who can help build how AEB and its projects are seen, understood and talked about in the media.
The RoleWe are looking for a PR & Media Relations Lead who understands that great PR isn't simply about sending press releases.
It's about finding the story.
You'll be responsible for building meaningful relationships with journalists, editors, publications, digital media, creators and relevant industry voices and turning AEB's work into stories that deserve attention.
You'll work closely with the founder, creative, event, talent and brand teams to shape narratives around our projects and create a strong, credible and consistent public presence for AEB.
One of the upcoming projects is a new cultural IP being developed in Ahmedabad. Details are currently confidential, but the person joining us will be involved in shaping its communications and eventual public launch.
What you'll doMedia Relations
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists, editors and media houses.
- Develop a relevant media network across Ahmedabad, Gujarat and India.
- Identify journalists and publications relevant to culture, entertainment, lifestyle, business, events and regional stories.
- Pitch stories rather than simply distribute announcements.
- Coordinate interviews, features, profiles and media interactions.
PR & Storytelling
- Develop PR strategies for AEB's events,
talent initiatives and cultural projects.
- Write press releases, media notes, founder profiles, event announcements and story pitches.
- Find strong cultural, human and business angles within our projects.
- Develop media kits and press briefs.
- Help position AEB's projects as stories, not advertisements.
Launch & Event PR
- Create pre-event, during-event and post-event PR plans.
- Coordinate media invitations and accreditation.
- Manage press interactions during events.
- Coordinate artist/talent media opportunities where appropriate.
- Ensure important moments from an event continue generating conversations after the event.
Digital & Creator Relations
- Build relationships with relevant digital publications, creators and cultural voices.
- Identify opportunities for organic conversations around AEB.
- Collaborate with the social/content team to amplify PR stories.
- Track digital coverage and sentiment.
Founder & Brand Communications
- Help shape the public narrative around AEB and its leadership.
- Identify opportunities for founder interviews, thought leadership and industry features.
- Maintain consistency in AEB's tone, positioning and messaging.
What we're looking forWe're looking for someone who is:
- A strong storyteller, not just a press-release writer.
- Well connected with Gujarati and regional media.
- Comfortable communicating with journalists, editors and senior stakeholders.
- Able to understand what makes a story newsworthy.
- Excellent at written and verbal communication.
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership.
- Curious about culture, entertainment, music,
events and people.
- Fast, organised and comfortable working around event deadlines.
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential projects.
- Someone who can build relationships before they need a favour.
Experience that would be valuableExperience in any of the following is a solid advantage: PR agencies • Events • Entertainment • Music • Cultural organisations • Talent management • Hospitality • Lifestyle • Media • Experiential marketing • Brand communications A degree in PR, Journalism, Mass Communication, Marketing or Communications is helpful, but relationships, writing ability and demonstrated work matter more to us.
What success looks likeWe aren't measuring this role only by the number of press releases sent.
Success means
AEB gets recognised.
Our projects get talked about.
The right journalists know who we are.
The right people start taking our calls.
Our stories appear in the right places.
And over time, AEB becomes a name associated with meaningful experiences, culture and entertainment coming out of Gujarat.
Why join AEB?This isn't a traditional corporate PR role.
You'll have the opportunity to work closely with the founder and core team while helping build the communications foundation of a growing event and cultural ecosystem.
You'll get to work on projects where the story is still being created, rather than simply communicating something that already exists.
If you're someone who gets excited by:
“What if we could make this a story?”
we'd love to hear from you.
