Role DescriptionWe are looking for a practical, hands-on Mechanical Design Engineer with strong experience in SOLIDWORKS 3D design and sheet-metal product development.

The engineer will be responsible for converting product requirements and concepts into practical, manufacturable mechanical designs and supporting products from concept through prototype, validation, and production.

This is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru, working closely with Product Development, Engineering, Manufacturing, Suppliers, and Operations teams.

Key Responsibilities• Develop complete 3D parts and assemblies using SOLIDWORKS.

- Design sheet-metal enclosures, cabinets, brackets, and mounting structures.
- Convert concepts and requirements into practical, manufacturable designs using DFM/DFA principles.
- Design considering laser cutting, bending,



welding, clinching/PEM fasteners, powder coating, and final assembly.
- Select appropriate sheet thicknesses, materials, fasteners, mounting methods, and assembly clearances.
- Design mounting arrangements for PCBs, displays, connectors, cable glands, and electrical/electronic components.
- Perform interference, clearance, tolerance, and assembly checks.
- Support prototype development and resolve fabrication and assembly issues.
- Coordinate manufacturing drawings, BOMs, and design revisions.
- Support vibration, environmental, and mechanical validation activities.
- Maintain revision-controlled 3D models and engineering documentation.

Required Technical Skills• Robust hands-on experience with SOLIDWORKS – Part, Assembly & Sheet Metal.

- Good understanding of sheet-metal fabrication and manufacturing limitations.
- Knowledge of bends, bend radius, K-factor, reliefs, hems, joggles, and flat patterns.
- Understanding of GD&T;, tolerances, and fits.
- Knowledge of fasteners, PEM/clinch nuts, rivet nuts, welding, and joining methods.
- Experience with manufacturing drawings, BOM preparation, and revision control.
- Basic understanding of mechanical loads, CG, structural strength, and material selection.
- Ability to independently troubleshoot mechanical design, fabrication, and assembly problems.

QualificationBE / B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent relevant qualification.
