Role Description The Manager – Stat Audit will lead and execute statutory audits for a range of clients, ensuring adherence to applicable accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and firm methodologies. This full-time, hybrid role is based in Bengaluru, with a mix of on-site client interactions and some work-from-home flexibility. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning audit engagements, reviewing financial statements, testing internal controls, identifying audit issues, and preparing detailed audit reports and working papers.
The role involves supervising and mentoring junior audit team members, coordinating with clients to resolve audit queries, and supporting continuous improvements in audit quality. The Manager will also collaborate with tax and advisory teams to provide integrated insights and support compliance across multiple jurisdictions as needed.
Qualifications
- Strong finance and accounting skills, with the ability to interpret and apply relevant standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in reviewing and preparing financial statements and related disclosures for statutory reporting.
- Hands-on experience in conducting financial audits, including planning, fieldwork, and finalization of reports.
- Advanced analytical skills to assess financial data, identify risks, and recommend process and control improvements.
- Professional qualification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent, with demonstrated experience in statutory audit.
- Familiarity with Indian regulatory frameworks (Companies Act, Income Tax, GST) and exposure to cross-border considerations is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to lead teams and manage multiple engagements.
- Strong proficiency in audit and accounting software, MS Excel, and other relevant tools.
- Commitment to ethical practices, attention to detail, and a structured approach to documentation and review.
