Responsibilities

- - Drive overall technical architecture, design, build and launch features and improvements on our platform.
- - Deliver high-impact complex projects that may span multiple teams and amplify impact by aligning organizations toward coherent architectural strategies.
- - Drive delivery of business outcomes across multiple teams, including planning and execution.
- - Collaborate closely with Product Management and UX to get actionable, valuable work defined for the team.
- - Ensure end-to-end delivery of software,



including team ownership of monitoring and production issue remediation.
- - Coach individuals in skilled and technical development to set them up for success.
- - Hire and mentor Team Leads and Senior Technical Staff members to ensure their success at Toast.

Requirements

- - Fintech products solution design, implementation at launch at scale.
- - 10+ years mentoring and growing successful teams.
- - Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering or other equivalent quantitative disciplines.
- - 5+ years of managing, coaching and growing successful teams.
- - Highly proficient knowledge in a high-level programming language such as Java, Kotlin, Go, etc. No problems if you have experience with other languages. Good engineers can adapt.
- - Excellent knowledge in other parts of the stack, Postgres, JavaScript (React), Flutter.
- - Enjoys building well-engineered, usable, and accessible systems.
- - Experience working in a team with Agile/Scrum methodology.
