Management Trainee/Officer (NIFT) – Operations & Quality

Job Purpose To support Operations and Quality departments by managing production data, verifying factory inputs, monitoring performance, analysing manpower and cost efficiency, and ensuring quality-related reporting, audit tracking, and compliance support for effective decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

- Consolidate daily production data into a single report covering running lines, line type, SMV, CM, CPM, line cost, revenue, work time, efficiency, carton audit, automation revenue, and extra cadre cost.
- Verify factory data entries, identify discrepancies, and coordinate with factories for corrections, updates, and monthly DPR finalization.
- Prepare and share monthly DPR, IPC-related data, KPI inputs, and management reports for performance assessment.
- Calculate standard cadre based on actual running lines and line types; compare with HR headcount to identify extra cadre and related factory-wise cost.
- Track line-wise actual cadre usage against standard cadre and share analysis with relevant teams for IPC and performance review.
- Maintain daily dashboards for planned vs. actual lines, production, efficiency, cost cover percentage, working hours, and factory/zone-wise performance.
- Generate customer-wise MTD/YTD production summaries, actual CPM reports,



and style-wise production variance reports between DPT and DPR.
- Monitor quality-related production indicators such as carton audit results, audit fail percentage, quality impact on cost cover, and style/line quality performance.
- Coordinate with factories and quality teams to highlight audit failures, data gaps, non-conformities, and recurring quality issues for corrective action follow-up.
- Support quality reporting by maintaining audit records, inspection summaries, NCR/CAPA follow-ups, and quality performance data for management review.
- Work with Operations, Quality, Accounts, HR, and factory teams to balance discrepancies, improve reporting accuracy, and support continuous performance improvement.

Skills and Competencies

- Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing operations, production reporting, and quality monitoring.
- Positive analytical ability with strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, dashboards, reports, and production/quality data analysis.
- Ability to coordinate with factories and cross-functional teams for timely follow-up and issue resolution.
- Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving skills.

Education & Experience Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from NIFT is mandatory.

Experience: 1–2 years of experience in garment manufacturing, operations, quality management, or related functions.
