Role Summary
DevEx is accelerating AI-driven developer productivity, automation, and reusable knowledge across the enterprise. We're hiring an MS Copilot Studio / GitHub Copilot Enablement Engineer to serve as the enterprise SME for Microsoft Copilot solutions (Copilot Studio, M365 Copilot) and GitHub Copilot. You will drive adoption, training, and responsible-AI guardrails across delivery teams.
You'll design role-based learning paths, encourage reusable Copilot prompts and automations, build insights dashboards, and lead enablement programs to ensure safe, scalable, high-value usage across Bank of America. This role requires a proactive, passionate self-starter who can evangelize AI-assistive development, partner with engineering leads, and guide teams in transforming their workflows using Copilot.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform SME (MS Copilot Studio / GitHub Copilot / M365 Copilot)
· Serve as the go-to expert for Copilot capabilities: prompt engineering, copilots/agents creation, connectors, grounding data, and security configurations.
· Guide development teams on GitHub Copilot usage: code suggestions, PR summarization, unit test generation, chat-based assistance, and repository-level best practices.
· Translate AI features into business-relevant use cases (e.g., automated knowledge bots, dev-task assistants, content summarizers, workflow copilots).
· Evaluate new features, preview releases, and work with MSFT/GitHub partners to align platform roadmap with enterprise needs.
- Training & Enablement
· Build and deliver role-based learning paths for Developers, Product Owners, Architects, Scrum Masters, Analysts, SMEs, Moderators, and Site Admins.
· Run hands-on labs, Copilot clinics, prompt-engineering workshops, "AI at Work" demos, and structured office hours.
· Create templates: prompt libraries, persona-based copilots, reusable flows, and development accelerators.
· Enable a Network of Champions across GBS IND; mentor them on responsible use, prompt crafting, GitHub Copilot efficiency, and Copilot Studio bot lifecycle.
· Produce learning assets: step-by-step guides, prompt design checklists, copilots maintenance playbooks, and self-serve video bytes.
- Governance, Quality & Knowledge Management
· Define operational standards for Copilot Studio bot lifecycle:
design → testing → deployment → monitoring → retirement.
· Partner with Controls, Cyber, and Compliance teams on DLP enforcement, RAI guidelines, tenant configuration, and code safety when using GitHub Copilot.
· Implement quality checks for Copilot-generated outputs, encourage grounded prompts, and enforce usage patterns that reduce hallucinations.
· Maintain catalogs of approved connectors, allowed repositories, and sanctioned use cases.
- Communication & Change Management
· Craft platform communications: launch announcements, adoption playbooks, FAQs, Teams posts, newsletters, "What's New" feature updates.
· Run awareness and adoption campaigns (Copilot Onboarding Waves, Build-With-AI Week, Recognition Programs, Prompt-a-thon / Copilot-a-thon).
· Present program status, adoption insights, risks, and operational recommendations to technical and non-technical leadership.
· Partner with Product/Engineering chapters to drive consistent Copilot practices across teams.
- Insights & Continuous Improvement
· Define and track KPIs for Copilot usage: – active users %, – prompts/queries per user, – code acceptance ratio (GitHub Copilot), – automation success rate (Studio), – grounded vs. ungrounded prompts.
· Analyze usage patterns to identify high-value opportunity areas and generate recommendations for improvement.
· Gather feedback, run sentiment surveys, and continuously refine training, taxonomy, bot design, and enablement strategy.

Required Qualifications
· 10+ years in developer experience, AI enablement, automation platforms, DevOps tooling, or technology adoption programs.
· Hands-on experience with MS Copilot Studio, GitHub Copilot, or M365 Copilot as SME or key enablement owner.

· Familiarity with GBS IND collaboration tools (GitHub, Jira/Azure Boards, Teams, Confluence, SharePoint).
· Exposure to analytics (Power BI/Tableau) for insights and dashboarding.
· Understanding of AI governance, RAI guidelines, secrets hygiene, and code licensing considerations.
· Knowledge of automation tools (Power Platform, Azure OpenAI, Bots, Conversational AI).
