About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and technically strong Maintenance professional to manage and support the maintenance operations of our food manufacturing plant.

The position will be responsible for ensuring maximum equipment availability, minimum downtime, preventive maintenance, breakdown management, and smooth functioning of plant machinery and utilities.

The final designation will be offered based on the candidate's experience, technical expertise, and interview assessment.

Key Responsibilities

> Plant & Equipment Maintenance

- Manage day-to-day maintenance activities of plant machinery and equipment.
- Ensure smooth and reliable operation of production equipment.
- Handle preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance activities.
- Identify recurring equipment issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.




- Minimize machine breakdowns and production downtime.

> Production & Maintenance Coordination

- Coordinate closely with Production and other departments to ensure uninterrupted manufacturing operations.
- Attend breakdowns on priority and ensure timely restoration of equipment.
- Plan maintenance activities without adversely affecting production schedules.
- Support installation, commissioning, modification, and improvement of machinery.

> Utilities & Facility Maintenance

- Oversee maintenance of plant utilities and supporting systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of electrical, mechanical, and other utility systems as applicable.
- Coordinate with external agencies/vendors for specialized maintenance and technical requirements.

> Preventive Maintenance & Planning

- Prepare and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
- Maintain maintenance records, breakdown history, and equipment-related documentation.
- Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure availability of critical spare parts and coordinate with stores/purchase teams.

> Team & Vendor Management

- Lead, guide, and supervise maintenance technicians and support staff.




- Allocate maintenance activities and monitor team performance.
- Coordinate with external contractors, service providers, and equipment vendors.
- Ensure maintenance work is carried out safely and efficiently.

> Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability, efficiency, and maintenance practices.
- Support projects related to cost reduction, energy efficiency, automation, and productivity improvement.
- Contribute to improving overall plant operational efficiency.

Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates who have:

- Relevant experience in plant / factory maintenance.
- Experience in FMCG, food processing, packaged food, spices, or similar manufacturing industries will be preferred.
- Robust knowledge of maintenance practices and troubleshooting.
- Experience handling production machinery and plant utilities.
- Good understanding of preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to lead maintenance teams and coordinate with multiple departments.
- Good vendor and contractor management skills.
- Willingness to work from a manufacturing plant location.

Qualification

- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Mechatronics / related engineering discipline.
- Relevant technical qualifications with strong maintenance experience may also be considered.
