Role Description The LIC Advisor is a full-time, in office role based in Ludhiana. The role involves meeting prospective and existing clients to understand their financial goals and suggest suitable life insurance plans. Day-to-day responsibilities include explaining policy features and benefits, assisting clients with documentation, premium payments, and claims-related guidance, and maintaining regular follow-ups to ensure ongoing customer support.
The LIC Advisor is also expected to participate in local marketing and outreach activities, build and maintain a client portfolio, and stay updated on LIC products, regulations, and industry trends.
The position requires consistent presence at the Ludhiana office and client locations within the region.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to explain insurance products clearly and build trust with diverse clients.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to handle queries, resolve concerns, and follow up proactively.
- Basic financial understanding and interest in insurance, savings, and investment concepts.
- Sales and relationship-building abilities, including prospecting, networking, and maintaining long-term client relationships.
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently and meet performance targets.
- Comfort with basic computer and mobile applications for policy management, documentation, and communication.
- Minimum educational qualification: completion of secondary or higher secondary education; higher education in commerce, finance, or business is an advantage.
- Prior experience in sales, banking, or financial services is beneficial but not mandatory; training support will be provided.
- Willingness to work on-site in Ludhiana and engage with clients in person across the local area.
