Role Description

Learning Engineer – Technical Training Content

As a Learning Engineer for technical training content, you will be responsible for the technical design, development and maintenance of digital and blended-learning programmes in the fields of energy technology, electrical engineering, building services and HVAC technology.

You will primarily develop training programmes and learning materials in the following areas:

- Solar and photovoltaic technology for skilled professionals
- Planning and design of solar and photovoltaic systems
- Installation, commissioning and maintenance of photovoltaic systems
- Heat-pump technology
- Heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration technology
- Energy-efficient building-services engineering
- Electrical energy-storage systems and EV charging infrastructure
- Other technologies supporting the energy and heating transition

You will research, structure and transform complex technical information into clear,



practical and target-group-oriented learning content. This will include digital learning modules, technical presentations, work instructions, practical exercises, case studies, knowledge assessments and supporting training materials.

You will work closely with technical subject-matter experts, education partners, trade organisations, training institutes and instructional designers in Germany and India. Together, you will ensure that all learning content is technically accurate, pedagogically effective and aligned with the requirements of the respective target groups and labour markets.

Your responsibilities will include

- Developing curricula, course structures and learning pathways
- Defining technical and practical learning objectives
- Creating and reviewing technical training content
- Translating technical standards, safety requirements and practical regulations into accessible learning materials
- Developing interactive e-learning modules and microlearning units
- Creating technical drawings, diagrams, calculation examples and practical exercises
- Collaborating with external subject-matter experts and training partners
- Implementing and maintaining content within a learning management system
- Testing, reviewing and continuously improving learning programmes
- Managing documentation, version control and quality assurance
- Supporting the development of classroom-based, online and blended-learning formats

This is a full-time position based in Mumbai under a hybrid working model, with the option to perform part of the work remotely.

Qualifications

Academic Background

You hold a bachelor’s or master’s degree in one of the following or a comparable field:
- Electrical Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Energy Engineering
- Renewable Energy Engineering
- Building Services Engineering
- HVAC or Refrigeration Engineering
- Mechatronics

Technical Knowledge

You possess solid technical knowledge and, ideally,



initial practical or academic experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Photovoltaic and solar technology
- Electrical installations and systems
- Heat pumps and thermal systems
- Heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems
- Energy efficiency and building-services engineering
- Technical planning, installation or commissioning

Technical Content Development

You are able to analyse and structure complex technical subjects and present them clearly to skilled professionals, technicians and aspiring technical planners. Experience in creating technical documentation, training materials, presentations or digital learning content would be an advantage.

E-Learning and Learning Platforms

Ideally, you have some experience with e-learning authoring tools, learning management systems or SCORM-based learning modules. However, this is not mandatory, as the necessary skills can be developed as part of the role. Robust technical understanding and the ability to quickly learn recent digital tools are more important.
